Timex Sprint Triathlon Series

Series Overview
One Step Beyond are pleased to once again confirm Timex as the sponsor for our Sprint Triathlon Series. The series will consist of four events throughout 2008.

Timex have agreed to provide the amazing new Timex iControl for your iPod as prizes. These will be awarded to each category winner (see categories below) as well as 1 spot prizes at each of the 4 series events.

Timex Sprint Triathlon Series Events
Race 1 - Southwell Sprint Triathlon - 4th May
Race 2 - Mansfield Sprint Triathlon - 18th May
Race 3 - Woodhall Spa Sprint Triathlon - 15th June
Race 4 - David Lloyd Lincoln Sprint Triathlon - 20th July

Categories
The Timex Sprint Triathlon Series will consist of 9 male and female categories:

Under 20 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39

40-44 45-49 50-54 Over 55

Rules

We have kept the rules of the series exactly the same as in 2007:

• Each competitor must compete in a minimum of 3 series events to be eligible for a Timex series prize.
• If a competitor competes in all 4 races the best 3 point hauls only will be used for the series.
• The competitor with the highest score (see scoring section) in each category will win the age group and subsequent prize.

Scoring

• Every competitor will automatically be entered into the series and will receive points based on their finishing position at the event(s). However as stated in the 'Rules' only competitors completing a minimum of 3 events will be eligible to win a series prize.
• Each competitor will receive a score based upon their overall finishing position in each event. Starting with 1000 points for 1st place, 999 for 2nd place 998 for 3rd place right through to the final competitor who completes the course.
• Each competitor's score will then be taken into their age category. An example is outlined below

Presentation
All prize presentations will be made directly after the final series ranking event, this being David Lloyd Lincoln on the 20th July. Any prize winners not present at this event will be sent their prize within 2 weeks of this date.
